Thames Valley reports positive COVID-19 cases at three schools

Schools in the London-area confirmed several new positive COVID-19 cases on Monday.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) confirmed individual cases at three of its schools Monday evening. Lambeth Public School in Lambeth, Oxbow Public School in Ilderton, and Ashley Oaks Public School in London are the latest schools dealing with positive cases of the virus.

"Thames Valley wishes to assure the community that all staff, parents and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified," a statement from the board read. "Health units investigate cases to identify close contacts and follow up directly to provide specific testing advice."

Those identified as close contacts of the affected individuals will be contacted by public health officials the TVDSB said. A total of 19 Thames Valley Schools are dealing with 22 active COVID-19 cases.
