COVID-19 cases reported at three Thames Valley schools

Staff, parents and guardians are being notified after cases of COVID-19 were detected at three schools in the London region.

The local health units informed the Thames Valley District School Board of the cases at Cedar Hollow Public School, Ekcoe Central Public School, and Summer’s Corners Public School on Saturday.  An outbreak has also been declared at Ekcoe Central.

"Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education, and schools remain safe places to attend," the board said in a news release.

The school board said only those who are believed to be close contacts will be contacted and advised to quarantine for a period of 10 days. All others are not considered to be at risk.
