High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 32-year-old London man faces impaired driving charges after a two vehicle crash that sent four people to hospital.
The two vehicles collided on Littlewood Drive in Middlesex County just after 10:30 p.m. last Friday.
Four people were hurt in the crash. They were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, charges were announced against a 32-year-old London man.
Aaron Atkins is charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, dangerous driving, and driving while under suspension. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on November 22.
