Woman injured in machete attack

London police say a woman escaped with minor injuries after she was attacked with a machete.

According to police, two women got into a fight on Dundas Street near Talbot Street around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

"One of the women struck the other with a machete," police said. "The victim fled from the suspect and called 9-1-1."

Emergency crews responded to the scene and a suspect was arrested. A machete was seized by officers.

A 30-year-old woman is charged with assault with a weapon. She was released from custody with a court date of January 12, 2022.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
