Driver found passed out with cocaine on the front seat

A St. Thomas woman is facing charges after police found a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a park vehicle, allegedly with cocaine beside her.

A passerby reported seeing a person in distress in a vehicle parked in a lot on Talbot Street Monday afternoon.

St. Thomas police arrived on scene to find a woman unconscious in the driver’s seat and 10 grams of cocaine on the front seat.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested without incident. She is charged with drug possession.

It was later discovered the woman was also wanted on a warrant in the Waterloo Region for several theft and breach of release charges, police said.
