One person is dead after a vehicle collided head-on with a transport truck north of Aylmer.
Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle crash on Imperial Road (Highway 73) south of Lyons Line just before 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, Elgin OPP said. That individual's name is not being released until the family is notified.
The transport driver was not hurt.
The OPP collision reconstruction team is investigating the cause of the crash.
Imperial Road between Lyons Line and Mapleton Line is expected to remain closed until late Wednesday afternoon. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
