Woman hit by vehicle in Old North

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle Friday morning in Old North.

Emergency crews were called about the collision at the intersection of Wellington and Grosvenor streets around 7:10 a.m.

The pedestrian , an adult woman, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment. The severity of her injuries is not yet known, but they aren't believed to be life-threatening.

London police confirmed the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
