Police respond to several disturbance calls overnight

London police were kept busy overnight Friday responding to disturbance calls, including one that sent a man to hospital.

Police say the three separate calls required officers to travel to one area on Waterloo Street and two areas on Thurman Circle, near Fanshawe College.

"All [calls] involved large numbers of youth, many of whom appeared intoxicated," a statement from the London Police Service read. "In one instance, a 24 year-old male was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained in an apparent assault."

While the incidents were fairly mild in nature, police say all three required significant police resources for prolonged periods.

Officials have not identified any suspects relating to the alleged assault.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go online to LondonCrimeStoppers.com
