Teen charged after gun pointed at Woodstock homes

Charges have been laid against a 14-year-old after what turned out to be a fake gun was pointed at homes along a Woodstock street.

Woodstock police were called about the weapons incident on Beale Street near Ingersoll Avenue around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers arrived on scene and took a 14-year-old into custody. An imitation firearm was seized.

The teen, who cannot be identified because of his age, is charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
