Man charged in armed robbery

A knife-point robbery at a convenience store has led to charges against a London man.

London police say a man robbed the store at 551 Richmond St. around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The man is alleged to have been armed with a knife when he demanded cash from the clerk.

Police arrested a suspect not far from the store. Officer seized a knife and the stolen cash.

No injuries were reported.

A 48-year-old London man is charged with armed robbery and failing to comply with a release order.

The accused was released from custody and is to appear in court in February.
