Gun used in St. Thomas convenience store robbery

Police in St. Thomas are searching for a man who allegedly pulled a gun on a convenience store clerk during a robbery.

The man, armed with a gun, walked into the Circle K at Fairview and Elm streets around 3:30 a.m. on Monday and demanded cash and cigarettes.

After getting a small amount of money and several packages of cigarettes, the man took off, police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect was wearing a mid length black coat, jeans, black shoes, work gloves, and was carrying a duffel bag.

Police are asking anyone in the area who has video surveillance to check their security cameras and call them if they have any footage related to the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
