Update: Sudden death in Komoka Provincial Park not suspicious

Provincial police say the death of a person in Komoka Provincial Park is not suspicious in nature.

Emergency crews and members of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry were called to Komoka Provincial Park on Gideon Drive in Middlesex Centre just after 2 p.m. on Monday for reports of a death. The park was closed to the public as police investigated.

An autopsy was performed on Tuesday and, on Wednesday morning, police announced that the death is not considered suspicious.

No details about the deceased individual have been released as police are working to notify next of kin.

The park is now open to the public.
