One dead in Elgin County collision

OPP in Elgin County are investigating after a fatal collision on Ron McNeil line Thursday morning.

According to police, two vehicles collided on Ron McNeil Line just east of Highbury Avenue around 8:45 a.m.

Police say two people were taken to hospital, where one was pronounced dead.

Ron McNeil Line was closed between Highbury Avenue and Yarmouth Centre Road for several hours before reopening just after 4:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
