Careless driving charge laid in fatal south London crash

Police have identified a man who was allegedly involved in a deadly south London crash that happened in early November.

At around 7:45 a.m. November 2, emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle crash on Exeter Road near Wonderland Road South, one of the drivers, 72-year-old Kassem Deeb of London, had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters.

Deeb later died from his injuries in hospital. The area was closed for several hours while investigators worked on the scene. Police later put a call out to the public asking for possible dash-cam footage that could potentially assist with the investigation.

On Tuesday, police announced 48-year-old Hanna Aoudi of London has been charged with one count of careless driving causing death.

Aoudi is to appear in court in relation to the charge on February 14, 2022.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
