Man assaulted at South London Costco, one person charged

London police have charged one man after a person was assaulted while sitting inside of a parked vehicle.

At around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a disturbance in a parking lot near the area of Wellington Road South and Roxburgh Road across the road from the south London Costco location.

According to police, the victim was seated in their vehicle when a man got out of his own vehicle and approached the victim. The accused is said to have hit the victim's vehicle with his hands before he opened the door which led to a verbal and physical altercation. Following the incident, the male then left the area in his own vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident and the victim's vehicle did not sustain any damage.

On Tuesday, police announced a 57-year-old London is charged with one count of assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 16, 2022.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
