London MP named a Parliamentary Secretary

Peter Fragiskatos, MP for London North Centre, has been appointed the role of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue.

The Minister of National Revenue is responsible for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), as well as the administration of taxation law and collection. The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier has filled this position since 2015.

The new role will see Fragiskatos become intimately involved in policies and legislation surrounding Canadians' taxes. He may also speak on Minister Lebouthillier's behalf should she be absent for any reason.

"I look forward to working with Minister [Lebouthillier] as our government continues to help Canadians through the ongoing pandemic," Fragiskatos said on Twitter.

Fragiskatos has represented London North Centre since 2015.

He reassured Londoners that he will continue to work for them with the same focus as he always has, despite the new position.

"My constituents mean everything to me and that will never change."
