Five charged in Woodstock John sting

Five men, including one from London, are facing charges after a sex trafficking initiative in Woodstock.

Woodstock police took part in the initiative on Wednesday and Thursday.

They arrested five men, charging them under the Criminal Code with Communicating with Anyone for the Purpose of Obtaining Sexual Services.

A 30-year-old London man, a 28-year-old Port Dover man, a 30-year-old Wellandport man, a 70-year-old Woodstock man, and a 51-year-old Tillsonburg man are charged.

"If you are a victim or you suspect someone you know is a victim of human trafficking, the Woodstock Police Service encourages you to contact the Woodstock Police Service (519-537- 2323), your local police service, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to seek help and available services," a statement from police said.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
