More cases of COVID-19 at Thames Valley schools

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) has identified a number of cases of COVID-19 at area schools.

According to public health officials, Hickson Central Public School and Westfield Public School both have three possible cases, while Sir Arthur Currie Public School, Stoney Creek Public School, South Dorchester Public School, Springbank Public School, Zorra Highland Park Public School, and Caradoc Public School each have a single case.

The school board advised that only close contacts will receive a letter with instructions regarding testing and quarantine periods.

"Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education, and schools remain safe places to attend," the board said in a release.

The number of cases of COVID-19 in Thames Valley schools has risen by 13 in the last day.

Thames Valley is currently tracking 75 cases of COVID-19.
