Suspects sought after $20K worth of electronics, jewellery stolen

Police in St. Thomas are searching for two suspects after thousands of dollars worth of electronics and jewellery were stolen from a downtown apartment.

Two men are alleged to have broken into the eight storey apartment building at 294 Talbot Street between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday. Approximately $20,000 worth of electronics and jewellery were taken, police said.

One of the suspects has been identified as 28-year-old Joshua Destromp (pictured above).

The second suspect has not yet been identified. However, police released a surveillance photo of him on Monday morning.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Destromp or the identity of the second suspect is asked to call police at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
