Freezing drizzle across western Ontario

Environment Canada put a freezing drizzle advisory into effect across most of western Ontario.

Grey-Bruce, Huron-Perth, London-Middlesex, and Oxford counties could see freezing drizzle start during the afternoon.

"Temperatures near Lake Erie and Lake Huron are expected to remain above freezing and will limit the potential for freezing drizzle," the weather agency said of some areas.

Environment Canada warned that a layer of ice could accumulate on surfaces like roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.

Drivers are advised to maintain safe following distances and take extra care on slippery roadways.

The freezing drizzle is expected to end overnight.
