One person seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash

Four people, including one with serious injuries, were taken to hospital after a crash that shutdown a section of Highbury Avenue south of London Wednesday night.

Emergency crews were called to Highbury between Webber Bourne and Carr Road where two vehicles collided.

All four people inside the vehicles were hurt and had to be treated in hospital. One suffered injuries described as life-threatening/life altering. The extent of the other three people's injuries is unknown.

The crash kept Highbury closed for several hours. It was reopened around 11:50 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing, Elgin OPP said.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
