London man accused of smashing up a second LCBO store

A 27-year-old London man who was arrested for using an axe to smash thousands of dollars worth of bottles in an LCBO in London earlier this week is in more trouble with the law now.

London police said the man, who was just arrested and charged on Monday, showed up at the LCBO at 85 Wellington Road at around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday and smashed multiple windows with a metal pipe.

Police said after that, the man allegedly threatened a staff member before he took off and stole multiple items from a second business in the area.

Officers were able to track him down and arrested him.

The accused was charged with two counts of mischief, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a dangerous weapon, one count of uttering threats, and one count of theft.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday to answer to the charges.
