Mischief charge laid after fake-gunman call at Woodstock hospital

As if hospital workers aren't stressed enough dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Early Wednesday morning, a 911 call to police reported a man with a gun was trying to get inside of the Woodstock General Hospital.

"The male who made the call later advised the Woodstock Police Service that the claims were fabricated," police said.

A 33-year-old London man has been charged with public mischief.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
