Dense fog reducing visibility in the London-area

Thick fog across parts of southwestern Ontario made for a slower than normal morning commute on Thursday.

The dense fog rolled into the region overnight, prompting Environment Canada to issue a fog advisory for London-Middlesex, Oxford County, Elgin County, and Sarnia-Lambton.

"Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero," the national weather agency said. "If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop."

The fog is expected to burn off late Thursday morning.
