Two Londoners charged in Oakville, Burlington bank heists

Charges have been laid against two London men in connection with three separate bank robberies in Oakville and Burlington.

Two men broke into the TD Bank vestibule on Nottinghill Gate in Oakville around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday. The men are alleged to have used a plasma cutter to access the bank machine vault before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An investigation by Halton Regional police determined the robbery was similar to bank heists in the city and Burlington in 2020 and 2021.

Two 37-year-old men from London were arrested in relation to all three robberies.

They are charged with three counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft over $5,000, and possession of break-in instruments. Both men were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
