Suspects sought in Oxford County bank holdup

Ontario Provincial Police in Oxford County are looking for suspects following a robbery late Thursday afternoon at a bank in Drumbo.

It happened shortly after 5 p.m. at the Bank of Montreal on Oxford Street. Police said multiple suspects entered and demanded money. They soon left with an undisclosed amount of cash in what is possibly a red, four-door Kia sedan.

No one was injured in the incident.

Assisting in the investigation are the Oxford OPP Major Crime Unit, the West Region Emergency Response Team, and the K-9 Unit.

Anyone who witnessed the incident that has not already spoken with police, or with information, is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
