OPP locate stolen delivery truck with over $40K in stoves

A stolen delivery truck loaded with brand new kitchen appliances was found by police on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation over the weekend.

According to Middlesex County OPP, Oneida Nation officers responded to an abandoned address on Oneida Road just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday where the truck was located. London police were also called to help recover the vehicle.

Police say the trailer of the vehicle contained a number of brand new stoves valued at just over $42,000.

No charges have been laid at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
