15-year-old accused of doing donuts, taking off from police

Charges have been laid against a 15-year-old who allegedly tried to out run police after being caught doing donuts in a Delhi parking lot.

A Good Samaritan called Norfolk County OPP just before 11 p.m. on Sunday after spotting a vehicle going around in circles in the Delhi Soccer Park lot. When officers arrived, the vehicle took off and did not stop for police who had activated their emergency equipment.

The vehicle pulled into a driveway where the driver got out and tried to run away. Police arrested a 15-year-old without further incident.

The teen has now been charged with failure to stop for police and driving a vehicle without a licence.
