Man accused of trying to buy sex from minor

A Lucan man is facing charges after London police allege he tried to purchase sex from a person under the age of 18.

According to police, the human trafficking unit conducted an operation in a south London parking lot. Police say the man is alleged to have "communicated with an undercover officer to obtain sexual services."

The 56-year-old man is charged with communication for the purpose of obtaining sexual services from person under 18 years. He has been released from custody with a court date of April 21.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
