Man tries to coax Woodstock woman into vehicle

Woodstock police are looking for a man who tried to coax a young woman into his car.

According to police, the woman was walking along Dundas Street near Norwich Avenue around 9 p.m. on Tuesday when a red newer model car pulled up beside her.

The man behind the wheel told the woman to get into his vehicle "because he wanted to get to know her," police said.

The woman did not get in and reported the incident to police.

The man is described as being in his 30s with brown or red hair, a short beard, and an average build.
