Police probing suspicious shed fire

London police say they are investigating after a fire in a shed caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.

Fire crews were called to a home on Huron Street east of Highbury Avenue around 5 a.m. Wednesday. A shed was engulfed in flames. Firefighers put out the blaze and no injuries were reported.

"The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature the investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal," police said.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
