The Wednesday morning commute could be a slippery one for drivers in the London area.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing drizzle advisory that covers London, Middlesex County, and Oxford County.

It says there is the risk of freezing drizzle Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery," the advisory says. "Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance."
