$130K boat, trailer stolen from Simcoe-area

Provincial police in Norfolk County are on the lookout for a thief who made off with a boat and trailer worth an estimated $130,000.

Police were called about the theft from a dealership on Highway 24 south of Simcoe on Tuesday. Officers determined the boat and trailer were taken from the property around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday.

The boat is described as a 2020 Harris Solstice 250 Pontoon boat, equipped with a 300hp Mercury Verado motor. The trailer is an Excaliber trailer. The vessel was shrink-wrapped and marked as "sold" in spray paint.

A white extended cab Chevrolet diesel pickup truck is believed to have been involved in the theft, police said.
