Three teens charged in Dorchester coffee shop break-in

Three 18-year-olds are accused of breaking into and stealing thousands of dollars from a Tim Hortons in Dorchester.

Thieves got into the coffee shop on Dorchester Road through a window just before midnight on February 20, Middlesex OPP said. They are alleged to have made off with approximately $10,000.

An investigation into the break-in led police to search a home on Forbes Street home in London two days later.

Two 18-year-old London men and a 18-year-old Thames Centre man have been charged with breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence.

Additional charges of possession of break-in instruments and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 have also been laid against one of the London men.

The trio have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in court on April 4.
