London man identified as driver killed in crash northeast of Woodstock

A 79-year-old from London has been identified as the man killed in a crash northwest of Woodstock that sent five others to hospital.

John Sangster was the driver of one of two vehicles that collided at the intersection of Oxford Road 96 and 37th Line in Zorra Township just before 3 p.m. on Friday.

He suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital where he later died.

A passenger in Sangster's vehicle was airlifted to London hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and three passengers in the other vehicle were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Oxford OPP continue to investigate the cause of the collision. They are asking anyone with information to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
