London woman becomes millionaire by playing Encore

A lucky London woman said she was in disbelief after learning she had become a millionaire overnight.

Raheema Jamal won $1-million in the February 1 Lotto Max draw after matching all seven Encore numbers. The 44-year-old retail worker said she she couldn't believe it when she discovered her big win at home while checking her ticket using the OLG Lottery App.

"When I saw all the zeroes, I was speechless, I couldn’t believe it," she said. "I stood there frozen in the moment."

Jamal said plans to share her joy by treating her family to an adventure.

"We will go on a safari and the rest will be saved for my niece and nephew," she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Wonderland Road.
