Police issue warning about high-risk offender living in London-area

London police are warning the public about a high-risk offender who has been released back into the community.

Allan Eugene Ashton, 54, was recently released from custody and will be living in the London area, police said on Monday.

Ashton has a history of violence, criminal harassment, uttering threats, and sexually-related offences and is considered a high risk to reoffend.

"The London Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the release of Ashton," police said.

Ashton is described as Caucasian, approximately 190 lbs, 5’9”, with brown hair, and green eyes. A photo of him can be seen above.
