Two arrested in downtown St. Thomas

The St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) responded to a weapons call on Talbot Street in the downtown area on Sunday.

Following an investigation, police said that they arrested two London natives.

A 30-year-old male has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and two counts of breaching a court release order, while a 27-year-old female faces charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Police added that a victim in this matter was taken to a hospital in London with minor injuries.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
