'It’s an amazing feeling': London man wins $100K

A 42-year-old London man says his six-figure lottery win is "hard to describe".

David Quantrill claimed the $100,000 Encore prize in the LOTTO MAX draw on March 11.

The health and safety coordinator regularly plays the lottery, but was unprepared for such a windfall.

"I was scanning a few tickets on the OLG App,” Quantrill said while collecting his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “The first ticket wasn’t a winner and when I scanned the second, I saw Big Winner. My hands were shaking."

Both his girlfriend and mother were "very excited" when he shared the news with them.

Quantrill plans to use the money to complete some home renovations and buy a king-size bed. Whatever is left over he will put in the bank.

"It’s an amazing feeling and hard to describe,” added Quantrill.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Convenience Mini Mart on Culver Drive in London.
