Aylmer man wanted in violent assault and robbery

An arrest warrant has been issued for an Aylmer man who is wanted in connection with the violent attack and robbery of another man last month.

The incident happened at a home on Sydenham Street East just before 3 p.m. on March 11. According to Aylmer police, four people got into an argument with a 45-year-old man and began attacking him with a baseball bat and a piece of metal angle iron.

The man suffered serious injuries to his right arm, back, and face. His cellphone was also stolen, police said.

A 33-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested and charged. A fourth suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Shawn Lane of Aylmer. He is wanted for aggravated assault and robbery with violence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
