TVDSB to close two public schools Friday

The Thames Valley District School Board will shift two London elementary schools to remote learning on Friday.

The board announced Thursday evening that Lambeth Public School and Sir Isaac Brock Public School will close to in-person learning, with normal in-person classes resuming on Monday.

The TVDSB did not provide specifics on why remote learning will take place Friday, but the board said in a media release that "operational concerns related to staffing issues" are responsible for the temporary change.

Families of students at both schools have been notified, and teachers will be in contact with students and parents with options for synchronous and asynchronous learning.

The board has reminded students that well-being and mental health resources are available by visiting the official TVDSB website.
