Woodstock police arrest three in kidnapping investigation

The Woodstock Police Service (WPS) have made headway in an ongoing kidnapping, robbery, and drug investigation.

According to police, a woman was kidnapped from the London area on Sunday, April 10 at approximately 1:45 a.m. and was then taken to a residence on Alice Street in Woodstock, where she and a man were forcibly confined and assaulted.

Two Woodstock men, 36 and 32 years of age, and a 32-year-old woman from Ingersoll are all facing assault and forcible confinement charges. WPS said that the woman and 36-year-old man also face theft charges in relation to stolen vehicles.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
