Police investigate fatal hit and run

One person is dead after a hit and run in London on Saturday night.

London police said a man was walking in the area of Adelaide Street and Nelson Street around 9:30 p.m. when he was struck. He died from his injuries. His name has not yet been released by police.

The vehicle that was involved, a silver 2022 Volkswagen Passat, fled the scene immediately, according to police. It was found abandoned on Sunday.

"The driver is still outstanding at this time, but the investigation continues," police said.
