Go-karts stolen from Woodstock business

Police are on the lookout for a pair of go-karts that were snatched from a business in Woodstock.

Thieves cut through a rear fence at the south of the Dundas Street property sometime between last Friday and last Sunday. Once inside the secure compound, they busted into a locked utility trailer and stole a Birel Racing go-kart and a Briggs and Stratton go-kart, Woodstock police said.

The one go-kart is described as white with markings in red, yellow, and bright blue and has the words "Birel 49” written on the side. There are also Canadian flags on both the front and sides.

In addition to the go-karts, two red steel boxes filled with hand tools and a black trolley were taken.

The stolen items are worth an estimated $6,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
