Police probing downtown gunfire

London police are investigating after shots were fired downtown on Monday.

Police say they were called to Carling Street around 2:30 a.m. after a caller to 9-1-1 reported that someone had fired a gun.

When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered that a gun had been fired. There were no injuries reported and no damage found.

Police are asking the public for any information that might help the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call London police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
