Oxford OPP search for attempted bank robbery suspects

Provincial police in Oxford County are searching for a trio accused of trying to rob a bank in Drumbo late Monday afternoon.

At around 4:40 p.m., officers were called to a bank on Oxford Street following a report of an attempted break-in.

Officers learned that three male suspects attempted to enter the business. Once they could not, they drove off in a black Audi Q5 SUV. The vehicle was last seen travelling east on Oxford Road 8.

The men, of differing ethnicities, were wearing dark clothing and hoodies, face masks and blue surgical gloves.

Police continue to search for the suspects.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
