Police respond to second pepper spray assault among teens

London police responded to another incident involving pepper spray and a group of teenagers this week, this time in the city's southwest end.

According to police, officers were called about a disturbance near the area of Wonderland Road South near Viscount Road at around 2:45 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, police learned a group of teens had been pepper-sprayed.

Paramedics assessed the teens, and no serious injuries were reported.

Officers located and arrested another teen nearby. However, his age has not been released. Police continue to investigate the incident.

This is the second time this week London police have responded to an altercation involving teenagers and pepper spray. On Wednesday, police laid charges against a 16-year-old male after a group of teens in downtown London were sprayed with pepper spray, and another was struck with a baton.

Anyone with information about this latest incident should contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670. Tips can also be sent anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
