Shots fired in south London

Police are investigating after shots were fired in a residential area of south London.

According to police, several 9-1-1 calls came in just before midnight on Sunday, June 12 about the sound of gunfire in the area of Commissioners Road and Highland Avenue.

"Officers attended and determined that a firearm had been discharged in the area," police said. "There were no reported injuries, and no damage to property."

The investigation is being handled by the London Police Service Guns and Gangs Section.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
