Man arrested after woman, dog hit with pepper spray

A man was taken into custody after another incident involving pepper spray in London.

According to London police, emergency crews were called to the area of Elizabeth Street and Elias Street just after 8 a.m.. A woman and her dog had been pepper sprayed, police said.

"The victim was assessed by paramedic services, and there were no serious injuries reported," police said.

A 69-year-old man was arrested. Police say the investigating is ongoing.

This is the third pepper spray incident in London in the past week.

Last Wednesday, police laid charges against a 16-year-old male after a group of teens in downtown London were sprayed with pepper spray. Two days later, police were called to the area of Wonderland Road and Viscount Road, where another group of teens was hit with the spray. A teen was arrested in connection with that incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
