London police investigating 'targeted' extortion, kidnapping of man

London police are looking for suspects after a man was extorted and kidnapped earlier this week.

Police were notified on Wednesday about a man that had not been seen for several days who may have been kidnapped. Investigators determined he was likely taken from a home in London and had been the victim of extortion.

The man, whose name and age were not released, was found by police early Thursday morning. He had suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police believe this was a targeted incident, but have not yet made any arrests.

The investigation by the police major crime section is ongoing.
